Stay in touch with your friends by using mypeople at home on your desktop machine and when you’re on the go on your smartphone. With mypeople you can send instant messages and cool stickers, you can voice and video chat, and you can also send files to your contacts.

As mentioned above, mypeople is available for desktop and mobile platforms. You can use the application on a desktop machine powered by Windows or Mac OS X. And you can also use it on a mobile device powered by iOS or Android.

A simple setup wizard will help you install mypeople on your Windows-powered machine. You can’t simply start using the application once the installation completes. To start using mypeople you must log in first. There are two login options:
Mobile number – enter your mobile number and the verification code you get from the mypeople mobile app.
ID – enter you email address and password. But first you must set up an ID; you can do so from the mypeople mobile app.
So to recap, you can’t start using mypeople on your PC unless you already have mypeople on your mobile.

The interface is just what you would expect from a messaging application: a large panel that lists your friends and chats and a smaller panel that presents your avatar and allows you to access your profile. So if you’ve used an IM application before, you would immediately feel at home with mypeople.

The functionality is also just what you would expect from a messaging application: send instant messages to friends and communicate in real-time, voice and video chat with friends, use stickers and emoticons to better express yourself, take screenshots and send them, send other files to your friends, invite friends and manage a list of contacts, save chats so you can review them at a later time, use a custom image as your avatar, get popup notifications when a message arrives, and so on.

mypeople is freeware. You can use it for free for as long as you want.
